Liberator vs Savior

I have made a MAJOR mistake in the way I have approached the Personal Training game and the Health Coaching game. The mistake is positioning myself as a Savior instead of the Liberator.

A Savior will carry you up the mountain when you fail.

A liberator will show you up the mountain and push you past failure.

I can LEAD anyone to awesome shape.

In fact I am looking for a challenge right now.

I want to take on someone who has tried EVERYTHING and can't reach the fitness they want.

If that is YOU or you know that person, send them my way. I NEED A CHALLENGE!

After studying nutrition and exercise for a decade, since I was a middle schooler, I know how to get YOU results.

However, in the past, I would hide the blood sweat and tears, and sell the dream. Positioning myself as the savior. And people would believe that I would do the work for them, and blame me for not losing weight. I had this experience the other day. A client said. "I ate over my calories this weekend and I haven't made it into the gym this week." And then come at me with, "I'm frustrated with the training because I think I've hit a plateau."

WHAT THE HELL?

You just told me you didn't make it into the gym besides our workouts twice a week, AND you just told me you ate too much.

AND YOU EXPECT ME TO FIX THINGS? That's not how this works.

That was my fault. I sold the dream. I didn't sell the hard work. The pain involved. It's harder to sell the pain.

Now I am being upfront.

This process is NOT EASY.

It is SIMPLE.

I can give you the strategy. A strategy that will get you RESULTS.

But I can only give you the strategy.

I CAN'T DO THE WORK FOR YOU.

I can only show you the way.

You have to DO THE WORK!
